Due to its low tensile strength and the presence of defects brought on by improper construction methods or other factors, cracks in concrete are practically inevitable. For reinforced-concrete structures, even if do not necessarily increase risk collapse, they unquestionably hinder aspects such as service life. Self-healing cementitious materials have been developed because growing concern for security sustainability structures. these new be used actual it is essential conduct research into self-repair effect that may offer, possibly quantify directly on-site, means non-destructive methods. In this sense, objective work use Acoustic Emission (AE) analyses non-destructively characterise response an autonomic capsule-based system, a function specific polymeric healing agents contained capsules.
